

Graveside Service will be held at 1p.m. February 20, 2018 at Forrest Cemetery.
Bro. Roger Graham and Bro. Phillip Elliott will officiate.
Visitation will be there at the graveside prior to the service from 12 until 1p.m
Mr. Busby was a graduate of Gadsden High School, Class of 1963, afterwards he furthered his education at Gadsden State Community College and then Jacksonville State University. Mickey was a devoted member of Bellevue Baptist Church where he was a regular attendee at the Open Arms Sunday School class . Through his Love of the Lord he also initiated the Bible Study Ministry for Bellevue Baptist Church at The Bridge treatment facility. Mr. Busby was a proud member of the Local Plumbers and Pipefitters 498-91, of which he was also a retiree, having served on the executive board. He was a forty year member of local 498-91. Mr. Busby was a veteran of the United State Navy and a member of the Etowah County Democrats, Executive Committee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Drayton and Myrtle Busby; grandparents, John and Nora Busby and Joe and Mary Everett; sister, Jimmy Clouse; brother, Larry Max Davis; mother and father in law; James M. and Mary Davis.
He leaves behind his loving wife of fifty five years, Diania Davis Busby;
son, Mickey D. Busby III; daughter, Myrna Busby Proulx;
grandsons, Michael Drayton Busby Barnes, and Leslie Warren Proulx;
beloved twin sister, Myrna Busby (Gary) Holloway; brother, Larry (Martha) Busby; brother, Mark (Nancy Ford) Busby, sister, Sherri Holcomb, brother, Sam (Carolyn) Davis, brother, Jim Clouse;
chosen brothers and sisters, Mike & Betty Nunn, Linda & Ray Green, Gloria & Tommy Lindsey, Larry Wayne & Lynn Pruitt, Connie Lowe, Bill & Nina Morgan;
brother and sister in law, Flavius & Bobbie Maddox; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bellevue Baptist Church or Joe Lee Griffin Hope Lodge in Birmingham.
