

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and adored her church family at Gum Springs Missionary Baptist, where she was a longtime member. She also served as a Sunday schoolteacher and choir member.
Becky spent several years of her childhood in Conneaut, Ohio and then returned to Alabama where she attended and graduated from Appalachian High School. She met and married the love of her life, Charles Gary Hamilton. Becky was a beloved lunchroom lady at Ashville school where she retired with a full and happy heart. She also enjoyed baking cakes for family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, David Elmer Hill, mother, Ivalee Hill, brothers- James Wesley Hill, Delmer Lee Hill, Billie ed Hill, John Kenneth Hill, sisters- Laura Geneva McCroskey and Jeanie Loraine Snow.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles Gary Hamilton, children- Debra (Mark) Barnard, Duane (Donna) Hamilton, Jonathan Hamilton, grandchildren- DJ (Kandice) Hamilton, Megan Bush, Justin Barnard, Jordan Hamilton, Nicholas (Jen) Self, Riley Averett, 4 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Becky’s legacy will be carried on by the remembrance of her bundles of love and joy that she brought into the lives of those around her.
The family will receive friends at Gum Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Ashville, AL on January 14, 2025, from 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM. The funeral will follow at 12:00 PM. Bro. Chris Cornutt will officiate with Bro. Jeremy Jones and Bro. Steven Sawyer.
Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Barnard, DJ Hamilton, Jordan Hamilton, Jeremy Faulkner, Skyler Faulkner and Trent Faulkner.
Riley Averett and Joseph Dillard will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the amazing staff at Home Instead Caregiving Co. in Rainbow City and to the hospice staff at Enhabit Home Health and Hospice of Pell City.
