Sarah was born on December 23, 1939, in Gaylesville, Alabama. She retired from Cherokee County Board of Education. She worked at Sand Rock School Lunchroom. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman (Ethel) Bishop; spouse, JW Oliver; and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her son, Richard Oliver; daughter, Debra (Tim) Meads; brothers, Gary Bishop, Billy (Betty) Bishop; grandchildren, Andrew (Kat) Holaway, Anna Holaway, Tim (Anna) Meads, Brittany (Nathan) Smith, Bryce (Hannah) Meads; and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are grandsons and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethany Cemetery Fund.
A chapel visitation at morgan funeral chapel for Sarah will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A chapel service at Morgan Funeral Chapel will occur Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 1:00 PM. A burial at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery will occur Wednesday, February 26, 2025.
