

A lifelong resident of Etowah County, Sheila attended Emma Sansom High School. She was a wonderful mother, a devoted grandmother, and a cherished friend to many. Her life was marked by kindness, strength, and an unwavering faith. Known as a true prayer warrior, Sheila uplifted countless people through her prayers, compassion, and encouragement. She had a special gift for making others feel seen, loved, and supported in times of need.
Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched through her family, friendships, and steadfast devotion to faith and love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Elnora Bullock Green and Carl Wayne Smith Sr.; W.A. “Doug” Green; Dolores Smith; and her grandparents, Charlie and Irene Bullock, and Austin and Clara Smith.
She is survived by her three children, Blaine (Tina) McLaughlin, Amanda (Tyler) May, and Ashley (Daniel) Pearce; her siblings, Carl Smith, Rita Smith Toney, Charlene (John) Mabry McEachern, Thomas (Cathy) Mabry, Michael Mabry, Michael Todd Green, and Renee (Gina) Green; as well as her beloved grandchildren and extended family.
Pallbearers will be Blaine McLaughlin, Daniel Pearce, Blake Sims, Joseph Smith, Ty Hunt, Adam Walden, Darrell Hilderbrand, Josh Green, Justin Cox, Dustin Cox.
Honorary pallbearers include Carl Smith, René Green, Michael Green, Michael Mabry, and Thomas Mabry, Jeremy Smith, and Justin Chappell.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 3, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., followed by a graveside service at Greens Chapel Cemetery. Brother Tommy Marshall and Brother Don Arnold to officiate.
Sheila was a beautiful woman inside and out. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Rob Caves, Amedisys Hospice of Rainbow City, and ACG Hospice for the compassionate care given to Sheila during her final days.
