

Tabatha “Tabby” Rita Wooten, age 56, of Gadsden, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. Funeral services for Ms. Wooten will be Monday, February 19, 2024 at Morgan Funeral Chapel. Visitation in the Chapel will be from 2:00pm until the time of service at 3:00pm. Bro. Chris Gallagher and Bro. Steven Jones to officiate.
Tabby was a graduate of the 1989 Class of Litchfield High School and attended the Snellgrove Center for 34 years. She was diagnosed with Down syndrome when she was 6 months old, but it didn’t stop our Tabby. She was so full of life, and her smile was contagious, and she loved everyone deeply. Valentine’s Day was Tabby’s favorite holiday and how appropriate it was for her to gain her wings on February 14th, as she called it “Tabby’s Heart Day”. All who knew Tabby loved her and she will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, PawPaw and MawMaw Barnett; and her niece, Brandi Hollis.
Tabby is survived by her parents, Jerry and Ruth Wooten; sisters, Teressa (Lamont) Hollis and Tina (Ricky) McDaniel; nephew, Brandon (Kristen) Hollis; nieces, Leighandrea (Chris) Browning, Brittni (Zac) Hendrix and Terri (Michael) Brady, NJ; great-nephews and great-nieces, Hayden Hollis, Hudson Hollis, Caleb Browning, Abby Browning, Eryn Browning Hollis, Martyce Brady, Xavier Brady and Ivory Brady; and her “furbaby niece”, Halle’, that she loved dearly.
Pallbearers are Lamont Hollis, Brandon Hollis, Chris Browning, Caleb Browning, Abby Browning, Ricky McDaniel, Michael Brady, Zac Hendrix and Hayden Hollis.
Honorary pallbearer is David Santos.
The family would like to express special thanks to her Hospice Nurse, Cheyenne Kelley Debord; her CNA, Leah Farlow; Dr. Clinton Allen, Central Avenue Holiness Church, Denise Gray, Malinda Magnum and the Gadsden Church of Christ.
