Funeral will be at 2 PM Tuesday, August 31 at Morgan Funeral Chapel for Timothy “Ski-Bo” Smith, 56, Gallant, who died Thursday, August 26, 2021. Rev. Jeff Rowan will officiate. Graveside military honors to follow at Conn Cemetery in Gallant. Morgan Funeral Chapel is directing. Masks are requested for all attending.
Timothy was born November 27, 1964 to Floyd James and Peggy Brown Smith. He served in the Air Force and with the 117th Air National Guard. This afforded him many deployment travels and life time friends. He retired as a Chief Master Sergeant after more than 30 years. Timothy enjoyed spending time with family, at Lake Logan Martin with his lake family, gardening, and cooking. He loved his family deeply and was a dependable, cherished friend.
He is survived by Melanie Mosley Smith; daughter, Brandi (Matthew) McGraw; son, Zackery (Ashley) Smith; granddaughters Arianna and Sophia McGraw who gave him the proud title of Pops; sisters, Elizabeth Jacobs, Pamela (Jeff) Rowan, and Angela Baird. He also had many nieces, nephews, and extended love ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Peggy Smith.
The family will receive friends and family from 1 to 2 PM on Tuesday, August 31st.
