Richard E Brandt

Richard E. Brandt (94) of Attica, died at 6:35 PM Saturday, September 1, 2013 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky. He was born March 12, 1919 in Attica to the late John and Della Rose (Gosche) Brandt. Mr. Brandt was a veteran of US Army during WWII and farmed in the Attica area.

Mr. Brandt was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, former Attica Eagles, and the American Legion Post #260. He enjoyed carpentry work and loved his trips to Hawaii after retiring from farming.

Mr. Brandt is survived by 11 nieces and nephew and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Alfred and Marion Brant and 2 sisters: Irene Beamer and Ruth Holmer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Our Lady of Hope Church with Fr. Paul A. Fahrbach conducting the Mass. Burial will be in the Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery with military services being provided by the American Legion. Friends may call Friday 2-8 P.M. at the Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service, 295 W. Tiffin Street, Attica. The Rosary will be prayed at the funeral home at 7:45 PM on Friday. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Attica EMS, AVR fire department or Stein Hospice through the funeral home.
