Gary Bruce Blake

We are saddened to announce the passing of our dear brother, uncle and friend, Gary B. Blake on December 13, 2020. Gary was born in Coeur d’ Arlene, Idaho on May 15, 1940 to Bruce and Eleanohr Blake. Gary was the first of six children. He leaves behind his sisters, Sandra, Julie, Cathy, Mary and Sue. He was also loved by 13 nieces and nephews in addition to numerous Grand- nieces and nephews.

Gary lived in Coeur d’ Arlene for most of his life. He was an extraordinary gardener, photographer, master of crossword puzzles, and astronomy… especially the moon.

Gary lived in California the last 10 years of his life, residing at his sister Sue and Tim Smith’s residence in Cool, CA, then Auburn Ravine Terrace located in Auburn, Ca. Anyone that knew Gary was amazed at his brilliant beautiful mind and his phenomenal memory. His unique design of having Autism/Asperger Syndrome was a challenge and an extraordinary gift. Gary taught us so much more than we could ever return.

His faith in Christ, his innocent heart, humility and kind spirit were his greatest gifts. A purer example of truth and light, we have never known. When we gaze at the moon at night we will always be thinking of him!
