is a man like no other. It is rare to meet a man who puts everyone and everything above himself, even more rare to have the pleasure of being in the persons life. John was that man, he'd have nothing and still drop everything to help a stranger on the street, to give him the shirt off his back.He would sit and listen to anything someone had to say, he would genuinely listen because he cared not waiting for his turn to interrupt and talk about himself. The most selfless man I've ever known, never wanted to burden anyone with himself. He never turned anyone away, if you were hungry he'd feed you, if you were alone he'd give you a home. Blood made no difference to him, if you needed love, you had a family. He took us all in under his wing, the outcasts, the black sheep, the lost children, anyone who needed love in their lives. He would give you what you needed before you needed it yourself. He had so much wisdom he shared with whoever took the time to listen. He taught us all to walk the path of righteousness, that it is normal and good to make mistakes, just learn from them. As long as you gave it your all it is good enough. He taught us right and wrong isn't black and white. If you want something you need to work for it and earn it. He also taught that pride is dangerous and it is ok to ask for help. He was a stubborn man, every bit of resistance he met with even more love and understanding. His passing is truly a loss to anyone blessed enough to have known him.
