John Mark passed away on June 6th, 2012 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He is survived by his wife Joan Mark, daughter Melissa Fogarty (Chris), son John Mark (Stacie), grandchildren, Molly Fogarty, Mark Fogarty, John Mark, and Hunter Mark. John joined the Navy Scouts and Raiders, forerunner to the Navy Seals, where he learned underwater demolition. He was an explosive expert and was affectionately called Boomer. He worked for Hercules Powder company, Great Lakes Explosives and in California was an explosives consultant, traveling internationally. A Graveside service will be held Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 2pm at the New Auburn Cemetery, 1040 Collins Drive, Auburn, CA with a reception to follow. Arrangements under the direction of Chapel of the Hills, Auburn, CA.
