John (Jack) Albert Schroeder Jr., born April 6, 1925, raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and living most his adult life in Auburn, California died February 18, 2025 in Rocklin, California just two months short of his 100th birthday.
Jack served in the United States Navy in both World War II and the Korean War, relocating to California in 1953 and resided in Auburn for over 50 years. He worked at Aerojet and the County of Sacramento. After retiring in 1990, he enjoyed his passion for the outdoors and preservation of the environment by hiking, biking and routinely volunteering for roadside cleanup efforts.
Jack leaves his wife of 72 years, Jean Schroeder and two sons, Mark of Sacramento, and Jay and wife (Bernie) of Auburn and three grandsons, Bradley, Kyle and William.
At his request, no services will be conducted. Memorial donations to The Placer Land Trust would be greatly appreciated.
