

Larry E. Bowling, 89 of Penryn, CA. gained his wings on December 24, 2015
at his home after a 12 year battle with congestive heart failure. Born on
May 18, 1926 in Princeton, West Virginia to the late James Flannoy
Bowling and Nommie Stoval Bowling. He was the 5th child of nine. He
was a US Army Veteran and part of the Merchant Marines at the Port of
San Pedro serving our country from 1951 to 1956.
Larry was a quiet and reserved man with a witty sense of humor. He
had nicknames for family and friends like Bones, Gatemouth, Okie,
Bigfoot, Hippy and Hayrack.
He was multi-talented at building and repairing anything that involved
construction. A proud member of Carpenters Union. He retired in 1985.
His wife would say he's done the work of 10 men in his lifetime.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife
Florence, son Rex, 4 brothers, Frank, Arthur, Clyde, Johnny and 3 sisters
Dorothy, Mary and Nancy. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his
wife Julie of Penryn, son Larry (Jeanie) Bowling of Auburn, daughter
Terri (Larry) Bowser of Loomis, sister Helen Bowling of Princeton,
W. Va., 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and his dog Rex.
He was a wonderful loving husband, Daddy, Grandpa and G-pa. He will
be greatly missed and never forgotten. At his request no formal service.
