Born June 29, 1950 in Elizabethton, TN. Passed away after a lengthy illness on May 6, 2011 at home in Colfax, CA. Survived by his loving partner of 30 yrs., Serene Owens, son Barry D. Stover, mother Gracie Mae Stover, brother Robert J. Stover and sisters Anita Fowler, Lindella Stover and Sandra Bell, 5 grandsons, a host of nieces and nephews and a large loving family in Elizabethton, TN. Preceded in death by his father Robert J. Stover. Larry was a chef for 40 years at Hickory Pit Restaurant in Mill Valley, Max’s in Corte Madera and Roseville. He was a graduate of Tamalpais High School in 1969. He enjoyed camping, woodwork, sports and was an avid baseball fan. He coached football for Pop Warner and at Tamalpais High. Please join us for a celebration of life on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 11:00 am at Interfaith Church, 630 Drake Ave., Marin City, CA 94965. Family has requested that instead of flowers a donation be made to your local Hospice. Celebration of Life will also be held on Saturday, May 28, 2011 from 1:30 to 3:30 at the Mink Creek Clubhouse in Colfax, CA. Arrangements under the direction of Chapel of the Hills, Auburn, CA.
