Lucile was born April 13, 1926, in Amalga, Utah to James William and Maud Melvina Jenson Buck in a log cabin that was built by her father. She was the third child of seven.
She married Mark S. Jensen in Cotati, California on September 9, 1944. They spent their 51 years of marriage in California. Mark preceded her in death in 1995. They designed and built their beautiful home on Robie Drive. They did not have children but were blessed to raise their teenage nephew, Terry Jordan. She remained close to him until his death.
She was a seamstress for Metro-Golden-Mayer and did the costuming for The Yearling. She also sewed clothing for Jack Benny’s wife.
She was an excellent cook. Lucile and Mark enjoyed fine dining and took great pride in replicating many of the dishes at home. They spent many hours on the golf course and Lucile even had a hole in one! She loved shopping on QVC and HSN. She cherished spending time with family.
Her family expresses their gratitude for the care and love provided by Auburn Ravine Terrace and Sutter Auburn Faith Hospice.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 18th at 10:00 a.m. at New Auburn Cemetery, 1040 Collins Drive, Auburn.
