Mary Peat Connell died September 2, 2011 of age related causes. She was 88. Mary was born September 28, 1922 to Manuel and Virginia Machado in Ophir, CA. She was an Auburn resident for many years and worked at Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital. Married to Ernest Peat who died in 1998. Survivors include her second husband Ellis Connell, 3 daughters: Diana Rockholt (Ron), Virginia Dailey (David) and Linda Dutra (Manuel); 2 sons: Stephen Peat and Michael Peat (Lorraine), 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Monday, September 12, 2011 at 1:00 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1162 Lincoln Way, Auburn, CA. Interment will follow at the New Auburn Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Chapel of the Hills. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
