Mike was an avid football fan and rooted for the San Francisco 49ers and I rooted for the Washing Redskins. We enjoyed going back n'forth discussing the attributes of our favorite team.  Always good healthy conversation.

It’s hard to believe Mike’s been gone a year. I’m reminded of my friend every day, as I have his magnetic business card with his picture on it on our refrigerator . God Bless.

Mike was a caring individual who helped any one who needed help.
He was my cousin and I miss him.

Fond memories of horseback riding with Mike along the trails, numerous discussions about cattle ranching & hay production on our southern Oregon ranch, target practicing, and enjoying a good steak dinner!

Deepest condolences to all friends and family who loved Mike. Throughout my childhood Mike, my nephew, was more like a brother to me as he was only 2 1/2 years younger than I. Even as teens we did some things together. I have a memory  of he and I taking a boat out on Clear Lake we’re more than once I spent summer days with the family. Fun times. Sandra and I hope that time can ease Judy’s grief. We’re very sorry that it just wouldn’t work logistically for us to be at the celebration in the pasture. We’re glad that it sounds as though he didn’t suffer.

I just learned about Mike and I am so very sorry. He and I were co-workers at Hotsy and stayed in touch over the years. I really enjoyed our conversations. He was very articulate and passionate about his love of family and the the Gold Country of California. I will always remember his joy and positive attitude. I am sure he will be missed by many.

So many great memories of a great friend and a great man.

Dear Judy, 

I hope this note finds you surrounded by loved ones during this really sad time. I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest condolences for the loss of our dear neighbor and friend Mike. 

He was a great man who touched the lives of many in our community. His willingness to lend a helping hand, his strong sense of neighborly support, and his commitment to helping keep our rural area unique and forward moving without changing its spirit are qualities that will forever be remembered and cherished by me. 

Whenever we faced trouble on the trail, Mike was there without hesitation. His determination to protect the neighborhood from any potential harm was noticed and appreciated. 

Moreover, he went beyond that, providing opportunities and guidance for those in the younger generation, who needed opportunity and perhaps some guidance. His impact on their lives was felt. 

Mike fought tirelessly for causes he believed would benefit our region, even if it meant facing opposition or inconvenience. He was not a “not in my backyard" person; he genuinely cared about the well-being of others and treated everyone's backyard as if it were his own and understood the balance between the need to work the land and to live on it as well. His dedication and selflessness were truly remarkable.

Mike had a great sense of humor and bright sly smile. His cowboy spirit, mixed with his kind heart, made him a genuine joy to be around. We, (Craig, Chance and I) will forever cherish  the lessons he taught us through his willingness to take actions and be involved. 

As we bid farewell to Mike, we can't help but the  loss and the neighborhood feels a little emptier without his presence. Our community has lost a true steward. His absence will be deeply felt by all those whose lives he touched, including myself, my family, and my business.

Please know that we are here to support you during this difficult time. If there is anything we can do please don't hesitate
