Perry Lamar Baumgarner, 69, succumbed to a long valiant battle with cancer at home on Saturday, April 2, 2022 in Newcastle, California. He was born on May 15, 1952 to Nell and Elbert Hayes Baumgarner in North Carolina.

Perry enjoyed watching football and his team was the 49ers. He loved the outdoors to include four wheeling, boating, motorcycles, camping, fishing, walks, and his famous Sunday drives.

Perry was a perfectionist with his work to include his vehicles. He had talent that he never bragged about. He had multiple construction skills; he could look at a job and subtly come up with workable ideas. He was a very hard worker and specialized in Dry Wall installation, which he was forced to stop due to illness.

Survivors include his 6 children Amy Vaars, Shareen Barrett, Sharalee Baumgarner, Perry Baumgarner, Janessa Baumgarner, and Tierra Baumgarner; 18 grandchildren Jason, Bradley, Allison, Jacob, Lucas, Zachary, Jade, Jasper, Jasmine, Caspian, Emilio, Sapphire, Nova, Graysen, Gianni, Gemma, and Garrison; Siblings Phil, Paula, Alan, and Guy; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 22 at 11:00am at the Auburn Cemetery in Auburn, California. Memorial donations can be made at the time of service.
