Robert Adolph Ogar

Passed away on Friday, June 20, 2014. He was born on March 3, 1930 at Sutter Hospital in Sacramento to Benjamin and Nona Ogar. He was married to his beloved wife and best friend Lois (Cossairt) for 64 years. He is survived by daughters; #1 Virginia Hendrickson (Dana); #2 Roberta Sweat (Bob); #3 Cynthia Dickinson (Phillip); #4 Barbara Ogar-Shepherd (Rory), 8 grandchildren and spouses and 21 great grandchildren. Rob will also be missed greatly by his sister Agnes Saba (Don) and brother-in-law Dick Cossairt (Joanne) along with many nieces and nephews. Rob attended Arden School, graduated from Grant Union High School in 1948 and Grant Technical College in 1950.

Family always delighted him most, but during his lifetime he enjoyed hunting, gardening and the many retirement years at “The Ranch” on San Juan Ridge. Rob was a member of U.A. Local 447 for 64 years. He served as a 4H leader and gave many hours of service as a member of the Lions Club.

He had fought a courageous and dignified battle with cancer which began in 1989. He will be deeply missed.

Memorial Service is planned for Saturday, June 28 11:00AM at Chapel of the Hills, Auburn. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
