Virginia Stella Yost, born on November 14th, 1931, in Dearborn, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. A beloved resident of Auburn, California, since 1974, Virginia lived a life full of warmth, kindness, and countless cherished memories, which she created with her wonderful family and a wide circle of dear friends.
Virginia was the embodiment of optimism, her bright spirit and joyful heart touching everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Marvin (Mick), to whom she was married for over 60 years. Their love story, which began on a farm in Flat Rock, Michigan, and continued through their move to California, stands as a testament to their enduring devotion. Virginia’s passing leaves an immeasurable void, yet her spirit continues to live on, inspiring all who were blessed to be part of her life.
Virginia leaves behind a legacy of love in her children: Deborah Boehme, Greg Yost, Tonia Fullmer, and Celeste Yost-Barclay; her sons-in-law: Michael Boehme and Brian Fullmer; her grandchildren: Alex Dibert and Dylan Barclay, Jonathan Boehme and David Boehme; and her great-grandchildren: Audrina and Brylie Dilbert, Adalyn and Everly Boehme. Her love also extended deeply to June Ford, Jeff Bushey, and Jill, who were like family to her. She was blessed with the lifelong friendship of John and Terry Lafave, and Sandy and Terry Thomas, whose companionship brought her immense joy.
Honoring her wishes, Virginia’s ashes will be scattered into the ocean in a private ceremony with her immediate family. As we say goodbye to Virginia, we hold close the memory of her radiant smile, her laughter, and the profound impact she had on all of us. She would want us to celebrate her life and carry on her legacy of love, joy, and kindness.
In loving memory, we remember Virginia Stella Yost and the beautiful life she lived.
