Survived by sons Donald of Stockton and Roy of Applegate, CA and sister Clara Boberg of Phoenix, AZ. Preceded in death by wife Phyllis Mary Capps and sisters Mary Larson, Iona Jensen, Nelda Heki, Fern Bowers, Bee Stolz and brothers John (Jack), Lewis and Albert.
A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. A graduate of Richfield High School, Richfield, Utah. Inducted into the Army in June of 1943 and served in Europe with the 288th Field Artillery Observation Battalion and awarded the EAME Service Ribbon with 3 battle stars. Enlisted in the Air Force in 1947 and retired from same in 1967. Entire Air Force career was with the Strategic Air Command working in telecommunications with rotating tours of duty at bases in the US and England. A total of 12 years was spent in England. Worked for US Navy Telecommunications Station, Stockton, CA for 18 years commencing in 1968, Retired from the Navy position and settle in Applegate, CA in May 1989.
Burial to be in the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Gustine, CA.
