

Bill Ford, committed father and grandfather, passed away as a result of complications of multiple health problems manifested over several years. Aged 70, Bill was born in Vallejo, California on December 29th 1944 to Albert "Red" and Elsie Ford. Raised in the bay area, he graduated from Pioneer High School (San Jose) in 1962. After serving at Fort Sill, Oklahoma as in instructor for the 97th Nuclear Missile School Bill returned to the bay area to raise his family. He built a successful business as a plumbing contractor he was able to fulfill his dream of early retirement at 45, after beginning his relocation to Nevada County in 1987. Bill found satisfaction in making improvements to his house and property, spending time with his family - raising 3 children and 2 grandchildren, joining in community events as well as taking advantage of the beauty of Nevada County's recreational hot spots over the subsequent 28 years. Survived by children Travis Ford and Megan Shontelle Cross, and grandchildren Rochelle "Roxy" Weir-Ford, Devin Jobke, Taylor and Trinity Ford, and Pollyanna Makabe his unique sense of humor and strong family values will be greatly missed.
