In loving memory of Willie Estelle Lilly who passed away on August 6th in her daughters home from an accidental fall. She was born in the very small town of Rocky Ford, Georgia, where the family owned and farmed land and raised swine. She lived next door to the school where she started first grade through high school graduation. She moved to Savannah, living at the YWCA and working as a telephone operator. She and a friend attended a dance on the Navy ship that was docked there. She met the love of her life and flew to Fallon, Nevada and married James (Jim) Lilly in 1952. They lived in Nevada for the first seven years where her husband worked for Operating Engineers Local 3 as a heavy equipment operator. They left and moved to various locations in Placer County where they raised a son James Dean and daughter Linda Lee. Willie was a loving mother, wife and homemaker. They left Placer County in June 1972 and followed construction projects in Utah, and bought a home there. They moved back to California after their son James died in an accident to be closer to family. They purchased a home in Orangevale. Jim at this time worked part time for OE3 on several projects. When retired they loved to travel coast to coast seeing the sights and visiting distant relatives. Jim passed in May of 2000 of cancer. Willie then worked as a greeter at Walmart for many years. She loved her job always smiling and happy, meeting new people. She enjoyed getting together with family at all the special occasions. Willie is survived by her daughter, Linda (Alan) Myers, Daughter — In Law Josefa Garcia,"Dumas" grandchildren, Nicole, Joel, Lindsey, Julie and Cale, greatgrandchildren, Matthew, James, Curtis, Sam, Mason, Acelynn and Jocie and two great-greatgrandchildren, Raider and River. A graveside service will be held at Colfax Cemetery 180 N Canyon Way Colfax, CA on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 10:30 am
