Eric Arthur Schmelling

Eric was the adopted son of Roger and Clarelyn (Anderson) Schmelling born on February 28, 1969, in Garden City, Michigan. He attended Avondale High School in Auburn Hills with the class of 1988. Eric had a career as a mechanic and served as assistant manager at Advanced Auto Parts in Pontiac.

Eric loved to fix up cars for himself and others. He helped raise Ivan Harry who lived with him .

Eric is survived by his children Allison and Carmello; his parents; nieces Takieva and Felicia Dubose; and nephews Jaylon and Devon Warren, and Alonte Woupio. Eric was predeceased by his sister Roxanne Warren.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday April 9th, 2026, at 2pm (1:30 gathering) at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 3530 Auburn Road in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
