Gary D. Pursell

Beloved father of Jennifer (Jerry) Carr and Joseph (Jill) Pursell; loving grandfather of Amanda, Michael, and Lily Grace; brother of Elbert Jr and Ken Pursell. Gary was predeceased by his wife Roberta “Robi” (Guidoni) Pursell and his parents Elbert and Millie Pursell.

Gary was born Pontiac, Michigan on March 27, 1943. He attended Pontiac High School before serving in the US Army from 1962-1965. Gary married Joyce Ziarnik and had children Jennifer and Joseph. He worked for Ford Motor Company and was a member of the UAW for over 30 years. He later was remarried to Roberta Guidoni.

Gary was a motorcycle mechanic and enthusiast. He also loved older cars, particularly convertibles and hot rods. He also loved nature, camping, the beach, and being in the mountains.

Gary’s family will welcome all to a memorial gathering on Sunday August 12th, 2018 at 2pm at The Islands Restaurant, located at 43711 Van Dyke Avenue in Sterling Heights.
