So sorry to hear about the loss of  Hershel. He was a great father to Tanya and Mike Hobgood the two that i grew up with as a child. Loved your music you were a true musician. My deapest sympathy to all of the family.

I'm so glad that I got to work with Hershel in his bands, especially the final gig we did, one week ago, on New Year's Eve, at the Flint 629 Eagles. I loved and respected him and miss him already.

I can vividly remember him watching me and the girls run around the house in pontiac and laughing. I remember watching him play music and loving it. Laughing very loudly when i lost my shoe at the farm accross the street in the manure. He will always be a dad in my eyes because no matter how long it was inbetween the times we saw each other he would still treat me like his own child. I Loved him dearly so sad he has left us. Prayers for all of you.
