Joe will be remembered as a very social man who seemed to know everyone wherever he went. He was an avid fan of classic cars and a devoted hard rock music fan. Along with his love for hot rods and classic cars, he equally enjoyed racing them, which sometimes got him into trouble. Joe also loved being on the boat and the water, and he spent many earlier years with his family on the boat—memories that remained close to his heart. In his younger years, he could often be found hunting and enjoying the great outdoors. Joe was a friend to all he met, and he will be truly missed by his family and friends.
Joe leaves to cherish his memory his sons Marc Schneider and Kurt Schneider, brother Pete Schneider, best friend Tim Knowlton, and his many nieces, nephews and friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his wife Pamela, daughter Krissy Russell and parents Oscar and Margaret Schneider.
Visitation will take place at Pixley Funeral Home, 3530 Auburn Road, Auburn Hills, Michigan, on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, beginning at 10:00 am. A time of family and friends sharing will begin following the visitation at 1:00 pm.
Joe will be laid to rest at Christian Memorial Gardens West in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
In honor of Joe, memorial contributions may be made to Leader Dogs for the Blind at https://www.leaderdog.org/.
