Melvin “Mel” Schott of Auburn Hills, Michigan passed away on May 4th, 2021 at the age of 87. He was born in Mt. Clemons on February 25th, 1934 to Clarence and Elsie Schott. Mel married his beloved wife Nancy (nee Jones) Schott on December 3, 1966. In both the Air Force and the Army he honorable served his country for over 6 years. He then went on to work as a Letter Carrier for the United States Post Office.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Schott; sons Jeff (Shelly) and Tom (Tanya); grandchildren Jeannie, Christian, Andrew, Gregory, and Emily; and great-grandchildren Avallyn, Leo, Emma, and Bennett.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 6th, at Pixley Funeral Home in Auburn Hills from 6 PM to 8 PM. Mel’s funeral service will held the next day on Friday, May 7th, at Pixley Funeral Home at 11 AM with the family accepting guest from 10:30 AM until time of service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Compassus Hospice.
