I met Steve 6 years ago while working on his wheelchair.  I was treated to a Depression-era story when Steve was just 12 or 13 years old, and he and his father headed to Florida in search of work after his mother died, and his return trip by himself.  What a story!  It was like listening to my Grandfather all over again.  I'll never forget it.  My sympathies to your family.

Not having known Mr. Cole but hearing of his service and patriotism from his daughter Babs, he was clearly a man of dignity and showed his love and respect for our beloved country. My condolences to you Steve and family. I had the honor of knowing Mr. Steve Cole for many years now. I was blessed with his fiesty spirit, he love for his country, his adorable sense of humor and one of the greatest friends/family I have- his son,  Steve Cole Jr.  I thank Steve Cole Sr. for this gift to this earth.  Mr. Steve Cole Senior, a true American Hero.  RIP, I hope you are dancing with the angels.

Our heartfelt condolences to the Cole Family.  I spent some time in the company of Steve Sr. on few memorable occasions and was inspired by his optimism, great attitude and sense of humor.  I did not learn of his experiences in the Marines until recently, and it is all the more a testament to his great strength of character to have lived his life in a very positive way.

Over thirty-six years ago, I met Steve Cole. He taught me the ways of real estate. I shall never forget him for his integrity, values, and his big heart. I loved him so much, I cried when he changed offices. . He was my mentor and friend.My prayers and sympathy are with the family. Rest in peace, my friend. You were truly one of a kind.

I will never forget your Father he was a wise mam and a heck of a pool player. He taught me the finer parts of the game while kicking my butt.

This saddens me to be writing this message but I must tell everyone about this wonderful man I have had the privilege to have known almost 3yrs & taken care of for some time now.... A father to 3 children in which one of them I Love (Steve M.Cole) very much. Stephen A. Cole a United States Marine now my angel.... When I would go and see him which was pretty much every morning n feed him breakfast he would always tell me a different story about him, his children or being at war... We have cried, laughed and I just sat and listened to him w/out saying a word.....he has changed my life!! Thank You Mr. Stephen A. Cole for everything you have taught me and so many others and know you will always have a huge part of my heart... You will be missed by so many and soooo much by me Dad-E-O. May you rest in peace. I'm so happy you got your final wish... Xoxo

This man is my Daddy. As he leaves this place we call earth I ask everyone to ask themselves," Are you ready to meet your Lord? My dad asked me to think about this over the years, and I can  come up with all the things he instilled in me but I think Love, Honesty, and Integrity, were most important and to keep that extra eye open for one thing good in people even if they were thought of as someone that will just hurt you. Out of all that it  comes down to is Forgiveness. Not just for others but for ones Self....At 97 years of age I feel that this is what he would like to be remembered for.  His great believeth in love ,honesty, integrity to all that have crossed his path, and for the ones that didn't  have the pleasure of knowing my dad, take a minute to think about how far he traveled this place we call earth, and now he is with our LORD.. I'll always have your spirit in me. I love you Daddy ! Always your " Susie"

For over 20 years I have enjoyed the many stories and time I spent with your father.  He is my angel! He was the one to help me when I was sick.  I remember the day he helped me with my groceries out to my car, when he took on a hobby job to stay busy after he retired.  I loved to watch him dance in his apartment and exchange real estate stories!  He also shared with me countless stories of his life from childhood until now.  He had the biggest heart and the determination to live his life! From packing everything he owned and driving to Nevada all my himself.   He loved his life and thanked God everyday for all of his blessings.  I will love him forever and be forever grateful for the time we shared together.   A man of honor, honoring God, his country and himself.  My Hero, Stephen A. Cole, Jr.
