Ted Maag, age 59, of Rochester Hills, was born July 16, 1965 and passed away August 17, 2024. Beloved husband of Audrey Maag for 28 years. Loving son of Connie (Richard) Adams and the late Teddy Maag. Dear brother of Terri (Mike) Esser. Ted will be missed by numerous other family members and friends.
Ted had a love for God, Jesus, and his family. He particularly enjoyed serving his church. For the past 10 years he served in the ministry - Operation Christmas Child - with his wife, Audrey. He had a strong commitment to serve his community as he worked as a school bus driver providing transportation for special needs students. He had a love for adventure that included: traveling, snorkeling, hiking, rock climbing, and skydiving. He was also a great prankster and loved playing tricks on family and friends and was never alone in his endeavors with his wife and father Teddy.
Ted was never hesitant to talk about theology or politics and could hold his own in any debate. His genius for creativity was obviously inherited from his Father, Teddy. Family and friends always enjoyed his unique Christmas Tree displays. Last year he designed a giant Woodstock nest with the Christmas tree in the nest. He enjoyed cooking and baking always trying something new.
His creativity and talent carried over to construction, renovation, building, and fixing things. Recently, he drew up the floor plans for remodeling, and with the help of his wife, completely renovated their home. You could also call Ted an IT Guru as he enjoyed coaching friends and family with difficult technical questions. Ted loved Star Trek, The Peanuts memorabilia, and animals particularly squirrels, his beloved dog Snoopy, and parakeets Sally and Linus. Ted was a loving and supportive husband, son, brother, nephew, friend, and mentor who lived his life to the fullest and was truly a joy and blessing to all who knew him.
Ted's life verse is Micah 6:8
“And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
