Timothy Dean Cornell

Tim was born the son of Therone and Vera (Cooley) Cornell on August 19, 1957, in Pontiac, Michigan. He graduated from Avondale High School, class of 1975 and married Cynthia Holland on his birthday, August 19th, in 1978. Tim and Cynthia raised their family in Auburn Hills. Tim had a career at General Motors working at Plant 8 and the Foundry.

Tim loved his family, especially the grandkids. He enjoyed fishing at Lake 16, riding his bike, and following Detroit sports teams. Tim was excellent at the grille and liked his rock and roll music loud.

Tim was survived by his wife Cynthia Cornell; children Rachel (Jeff) Sanders, Timothy Cornell, and Leah (Corry) Garland; grandchildren Jeremy Hogan, Nathen Hogan, Caden Menko, Mia Cornell, Alyssa Belez, Kylie Sanders, Gabby Singleton, and Lilyana Garland. Tim was predeceased by his parents; sister Nancy Lee; and brothers Jerry, Danny, and Tony Cornell.

A memorial service will be held Friday October 10, 2025 at 1pm at Faith Apostolic Church, of Troy, located at 68710 Crooks Road in Troy, Michigan.
