Alfrieda P. Wright died February 12, 2013 at the home of her sister Vera Austin in Vancouver WA . Born February 3, 1943 in Emmett Idaho to James Albert Crawford and Wanda Fern Jensen. She grew up in Athol, Idaho, Spokane and Moses Lake WA. Born into a loving family which included her siblings Edward, Phillip, Vera, Rulon and Ilene. She graduated from Moses Lake High School and then attended Ricks College in Rexburg Idaho. Alfrieda was fortunate and blessed to be able to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to Scotland. While later working for the Boeing Company she met Mr. Wright -- literally and in January 1968 she married John Robert Wright in the LDS temple in Salt Lake City Utah. She is preceded in death by her son Robert and her husband John. She is survived by her daughters Sandra and Rebecca, and two adopted sons Chris and Randy.
Alfrieda was a woman of many talents. Too many to name but just a few of her favorites were playing the piano/organ, quilting, sewing, needle work, family history, swimming and spending time with her beloved puppies, Maxwell and Muffy. With great patience she taught piano for 25 years and loved classical music. Of all the talents that she possessed the one that is admired the most is her ability to truly cherish and to love her friends. Her quick whit and sense of humor endeared her to many. She will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. In the days leading up to her passing, Alfrieda had time to say good bye to many of her dearest friends. A special place in her heart is reserved for her sister Vera and her niece Cheri who took great care of her right to the very end at their home with a tender, Christ-like love. Families are forever.
