

Doris Lorraine Stewart passed away on July 8, 2016 at the age of 84. She was born in Los Angeles, California on September 14, 1931, The daughter of Frank Perry Fosdick and Sophie Elisabeth Eckardt. Doris grew up in Southern California, and after meeting the love of her life, Jesse P. Stewart, the couple eloped to Yuma, Arizona on May 5, 1950. Jesse served in the United States Navy, and was transferred from California to Washington in 1964, where they have resided since. They lived in Redmond until 2006 when they moved to Auburn. Doris worked at the Redmond Library as a librarian for 17 years. She was the ultimate sports fan, but especially loved the Mariners and Seahawks. She also enjoyed the years she spent on bowling leagues, and her trophies are family treasures of her many accomplishments at the lanes. Doris was preceded in death by her sister Shirley Green. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Jesse Stewart; her children Susan (Wil) Simon, Ken (Mari) Stewart, Randy Stewart and Carol (Ron) Thompson; her grandchildren Joel (Ali) Simon, Nathan (Amy) Simon, Frank (Elisa) Thompson, Kristine Stewart and Justin Stewart; her great grandchildren Dharyanne and Sydnee Springer-Simon, Isabella, Dominic and Matteo Simon, and Tristan and Jaden Thompson; her sister Betty (David) Ball and brother Frank P. (Sheryl) Fosdick.
