whispered to him soft words of love.
My child, I’m ready come join me here,
don’t be afraid, do not fear.
Take my hand and come with me,
I’ve come at last to set you free.
No more sorrow, no more pain,
only days of sunshine, no more rain.
Your body has become tired and weak,
I give you now the rest you seek.
I’ll hold you in loving arms,
surround and keep you from all harms.
You’ve walked the path I laid for you,
by taking and giving all there was to do.
A life filled with love, family & friends
was shared with you ‘til the end.
That life I gave I claim again as my own,
I come now to take you home.
Your earthly burdens I give release.
