
Born October 16, 1925 in Snoqualmie, Washington and passed away on March 2, 2010 in Milton, WA. Richard served as a Marine in the Pacific Theater during WWII. After the war he married LaVerna O’Neill on February 17, 1950. Together they raised their family in Milton, WA. Richard was a very skilled pipefitter and worked for Purex and later Reichhold companies. He was devoted to helping people out in a time of need and was quite talented at building many projects. Richard was a longtime member of Sunrise Methodist Church as well as the AMVETS. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Ethel Wilson and brother Oliver Conrad. He is survived by his wife of 60 years LaVerna Conrad, their children; Anna Marie (Kirk) Goldsworthy, Michael (Vikki) Conrad, Karen Conrad, Kay (Nelson)Murray. Richard also has 7 grandchildren, 8 great- grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Price-Helton Funeral Home, 702 Auburn Way N. in Auburn, WA. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 8th at 1:00 PM at Price-Helton Funeral Home with graveside services to follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Auburn. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tacoma Rescue Mission.
