

Rosa Moltisanti Cascone, resident of Auburn for 35 years, passed away Saturday May 7th after a battle with complications from double pneumonia. Rosa was born April 26, 1943 in Ragusa, Sicily, Italy. After receiving a nursing degree and while working at Ragusa’s hospital, she met her future husband Salvatore Cascone. They were married on June 25, 1966 and later had two daughters, Liliana and Nadia. In 1976 the family was sponsored by her sister Anna and immigrated to the US where they settled in Auburn.
Throughout the years she enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends. Her smile and her warmth were contagious. She did everything in her power to make those around her happy. She and Salvatore enjoyed retirement by traveling, especially cruising. She cherished spending time with her granddaughters, Cassidy and Michela, attending their various school and sporting events or sitting at home quietly and sneaking them ice cream.
Rosa was preceded in death by her sister Anna and two brothers Giuseppe and Giovanni.
She is survived by husband Salvatore, daughters Liliana and Nadia, son-in-law Dean, grandchildren Cassidy and Michela, niece Francesca and nephew Giovanni. She is also survived by sister Giovanna, her brother Vincenzo and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews in Sicily.
Visitation will be on Thursday 2:00pm – 5:00pm, Friday 2:00pm – 8:00pm, and Monday 9:00am – 5:00pm at Price-Helton Funeral Home in Auburn.
Vigil / Rosary services on Monday at 7:00pm at Holy Family Catholic Church (Auburn, Washington)
Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 11:00am at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial services will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Auburn. Online sentiments may be journaled at www.price-heltonfuneralhome.com
