Hazel Buie Holden, 77, of Lake Alfred, Florida passed away on February 17, 2016. She was born on August 13, 1938 in Tampa, Florida and moved to this area 16 years ago West Palm Beach, Florida. Mrs. Holden was a lifelong resident of Florida and held several jobs including being the owner and operator of a truck driving company. She was known to many as “Mama Hess”
Mrs. Holden was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Myrtle Buie, a son Alan Wilkinson, and a daughter, Shawna Wilkinson. Mrs. Holden is survived by her husband, Robert Holden of Lake Alfred, three daughters; Bonnie Jobe of Lake Alfred, Debra Truman of West Palm Beach, and Vicki Waters of Lake Park, FL, three sons; Russell Glen Hess of Lake Alfred, John Truman of Lake Alfred, and Ricky Wilkinson of Winter Haven, twenty eight grandchildren, and twenty one great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 23rd, from 5 to 7 pm, and a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 24th, at 1 pm. Both will be held at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home in Auburndale, Florida.
