Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 4, 2014 at 2pm in the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Chavis officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Born in Marlboro County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Grady Sports and Josephine Strickland Sports. She lived most of her life in Augusta. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and fishing.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Coley Clark, children, Sandy Merchant, Augusta, GA, Billy Ray Clark, Augusta, GA, Brenda (Bradley) Slater, Augusta, GA, JoAnn Hickman, Augusta, GA, brother, Grady Sports, sisters, Barbara Bryant, Linda Bullard, 11grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 3, 2014 from 6-8pm at Elliott Sons Funeral home, 2524 Lumpkin Road, Augusta. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 1311 Mamaroneck Avenue, Suite 310, White Plains, NY, 10605.
