Mr. Johnson was born to the late Jack and Helen Johnson in Augusta, GA. He spent his life volunteering in many different capacities, including, the Boys and Girls Club and also churches.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by his siblings, Judy Lafferman, Kay Ennis, Jack Johnson Jr., Ricky Henley and Michael Johnson; and nephew-in-law, Rob Freeman. Survivors include his nieces, Tiffany Whitlock (Marvin) and Kelly Freeman; half-brother, David Johnson; his very best friend, Cowboy; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews who loved him dearly.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
