Ms. Debra Newton Johnston, 58 of Augusta passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014. Debra worked for 23 years as a Pharmacy Tech at University Hospital. She loved the lake, beach, mountains, traveling and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter.
Ms. Johnston was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Fred Newton, Sr. and her brother, Fred Newton, Jr. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Kim Johnston; granddaughter, Baylie Johnston; brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Rosemary Newton; nieces and nephews, John Robert, Morgan, Grant, Dawson, Jacob, Ron and Dawn.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM, Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM, Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating.
