Donna Lee Benson

Augusta, GA, - Mrs. Donna Lee Benson entered into rest April 25, 2015. She was born December 31, 1926, in Nuckolls County, Nebraska. She later became a resident of Augusta, GA. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of Resurrection. She enjoyed working for the Richmond County Board of Education as a school secretary.

Mrs. Donna Lee Benson was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Ole and Anna Jeppesen; husband, Mr. Dale L. Benson; sisters, Sylvia Cox, Marion Andersen, and Shirley Jeppesen; and, a step grandchild, Michael McClellan.

Survivors include sons, Michael D. Benson (Shane) of Lincolnton, GA, David H. Benson (Carol) of Appling, GA, and Weldon J. Benson (Tricia) of Bonaire Ga.; daughter, Rebecca Lee Benson of Augusta, GA; sister, Evelyn Sweet of Superior, NE, Betty Smith of Superior, NE, and Susan Wellman of Minnesota; and 5 grandchildren, Brittany McManus (Andy), Kelsey Benson, Dale Benson, Ryan Benson, and Haley Benson.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday April 28, 2015 at the Lutheran Church of Resurrection, 825 Greene Street, Augusta, GA 30901, officiating Pastor Paulwyn Boliek.
