When I think back to my days in Patrick Henry village, PHV, I have many fond memories and they always include Randy. Many great nights spent at the teen club at the castle illumination and in downtown Heidelberg. What a great, fun guy! Although I haven’t seen you in many years, I miss you and will see you soon. You’re in a better place, Rest in peace my friend.

So many great memories of partying and having a blast in places people only dream of. It was Randy who stuck me with the nickname “Fred”. He may have had a bit too much one night... he looked up at me and smiled and called me “Fred”. So many nights in Heidelberg and the castle, firework illuminations of the castle, concerts, and many parties with the best of friends and great music. Our EurRail train trip around Europe with Mark Chunn and Andy France was epic! Those were days my friend! Peace forever and we will see you on the flip side. Love ya, man! ~Fred

Randy, you will be missed brother. One memory that still lasts to this day is that when Randy was working summer hire on PHV (Patrick Henry Village) he mowed grass. I cannot confirm exactly what happened but somehow fueling up the lawn mower some excess gasoline caught fire and burnt Randy’s hand and arm. He was admitted to the hospital, it was pretty bad. Well I used to go see movies at the theater on PHV a lot and the movie Rollerball was showing for one night only that night. I had been waiting for that movie to come for some time. Instead of going to see the movie I went and sat with Randy at the hospital. It was the right move but to this day I have still never seen that movie. RIP brother you will be missed. There are a lot of us Heidelbergers out that there that spoke and will continue to speak of you often. Semper Fi.

Randy Maye's is my brother in law. I remember when my sister, myself and Randy drove to Padre Island on June 2. The water was warm. People were dark tanned. Very good time. Randy was the only person that I knew that celebrates birthdays part one, two, and three!! He was fun!!! Listened to YES last night. His favorite band! He is home now. We will see him soon!
