Rev. James Edward Shuster Sr.

Augusta,GA – Mr. James E. Shuster was a Loving husband to the late Gertrude Shuster and loving father to the late James E. Shuster Jr and Larry Wayne Shuster. Survivors include son, Robert Franklin Shuster of Augusta, GA; daughters Rose Shuster Key of Augusta, GA and Mary Jane Shuster of Augusta, GA; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Mr. Shuster was born and raised in Martinsburg, West Virginia. He departed there at the age of 16 when he entered the military where he served his county from 21 years. He served two duties in Vietnam and one service in Korea. He was awarded the Silver Star, 2 Bronze Stars, and several other awards. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 412 of Hephzibah, GA and a member of the American Legion 205 of Augusta, GA. He was an ordained minister of upper South Carolina and a member of Solomon’s Porch Pentecostal Church.

The family will receive friends from 6-8PM, Friday, May 20, 2016 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home on Lumpkin Road. A funeral service will be held at 12PM, Saturday, May 21,2016 with Pastor Stephen Black officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mr. Shuster will be honored with full military honors service.
