AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. James Earl Tanner entered into rest January 13, 2012. Funeral Services will be held 11AM Monday, January 16, 2012, at Elliott Sons Funeral Home-Lumpkin Road Chapel, 2524 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, Georgia with Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mr. Tanner was preceded in death by his brother, Willie Tanner. Survivors include his wife, Eva Virginia Tanner; two daughters, Judy (Stanley) Waldrop and Patricia K. (Tim) Smith; two sisters, Jule McDaniel and Jeanette Norfleet; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 15, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, Georgia 30906.
