

Jemia Aloni Lewis was born February 18, 2003 to her mother April Barton and Father Johnny Lee Lewis Jr. Jemia was loved by so many, from family, to the nurses at GRU and the people at dialysis. Jemia became sick at the age of 8. She fought for 5 years before God called her home on June 16, 2016 at 7:11 p.m. She left behind 7 sisters and 2 brothers. Desire Abrams, Johnnay Wilson, Johnavon Barton, Timya Barton, Janaija Lewis, Joniah Lewis, Johnny Lewis III, Jaleigha Barton, and Jemirah.
Jemia was a smart, loving, playful, and a strong little girl. Jemia loved to sing and dance. She loved all kinds of music, from Christian music to R&B and Rap. Jemia had the best sense of humor even though Jemia was sick, that did not stop her for making every day count as if it was her last. If you knew Jemia, you would instantly fall in love with her because of her easy going personality.
She leaves to mourn: Her Parents, April Barton and Johnny Lee Lewis; Grandparents, Mary Morris, Pearl Lewis, and Johnny Lee Lewis Sr.; Aunt/ Second mom, Priscilla Lewis; Aunt and Uncles, Nate and Bobbi Morris; Uncles, Rodriquez Lewis, Derrick Johnson, Robert Morris, Chris Morris and Dexter Griffin; Godmother, Christina Johnson; Nephew, Brycen and all 12 of her closest cousins.
A celebration of Jemia’s life will be held at 12Noon, Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the Lumpkin Road chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home.
