Juanita F. Verenes

Funeral services will be held on August 18, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with Father Vasile Bitere officiating. Burial will be in the Bethany Cemetery in Aiken S.C. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Rd.

Mrs. Verenes was a native of Ridge Spring, SC., but lived in the Augusta/ Martinez area for many years. She was a long time employee of Southern Bell , a retired business owner, and a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. She was a member of the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society. She loved spending time with her family, enjoyed cooking and collecting cookbooks, and was an avid traveler.

Survivors include her son, Constantine G. Verenes (Karen), her daughter, Denise Coutsouridis (John), granddaughter, Alexia Coutsouridis, sister, Lona Proctor (Cortez), and a host of nieces and nephews.
