Graveside services will be held 2PM Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at Hillcrest Memorial Park with full
military honors being rendered.
Mr. Welch served in the United States Army in WWII and the Korean War. Also, he was a member of the VFW.
Survivors include his children, Doris Heath, Linda (Jim) Thorp, Darlene (Dennis) Thompson, Kenneth Douglas Welch, and Pamela (Keith) Sikes; brother, Donald (Alice) Welch; sisters, Kay Welch and Jean (Dwayne) LaDeaux; twelve grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, Georgia.
