Mr. Johns was born to the late William Eugene and Annie Lee Johns in Augusta, GA. He was A retired Navy Veteran and served multiple tours in Vietnam, Japan, Guam & other countries. He served on the Aircraft Carrier Bon Homme Richard CVA-31. After the military, Mr. Johns worked as an Ironworker Foreman at Luker Inc. where he eventually retired from.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Johns is preceded in death by his Daughter, Suzette Smith; and Brother, Billy Johns. Survivors include his Children, Larry "Buddy" Johns II (Carmen), Barry Johns and Jeremy Johns Sr. (Kimberly); step-daughter, Donna Posey (Rob); and numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren who Loved him dearly.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm, August 30th, 2025, at Blythe Community Center, 294 Church St. Blythe, GA 30805. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901.
