GROVETOWN, Ga. - Lt. Michael Curtis Beckham, husband of Charlene Beckham, entered into rest on August 4, 2013. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home with Bishop Gordon Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Michael was a Lieutenant with the Augusta Richmond County Fire Department for over 30 years. He served in the US Navy and later in the Georgia Army National Guard. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In addition to this wife, survivors include his son, Matthew Beckham; daughters; Heather Pope, Michelle Sexton, and Michelle Beckham- Carrigg; sisters, Treva McGahee, Katherine Rogers, and Mary Kate Barnwell; grandchildren, Adrienne Sexton and Henley Pope; nephews and nieces, Joey Scott, Bryan Beckham, John Beckham, Daniel Beckham, and Whitney Barnwell. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at the funeral home.
