Shannon Leigh Theissen Bugg

Shannon Leigh Theissen Bugg, 51, of Martinez, entered into rest on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Doctors Hospital due to Covid-19. She was born on January 15, 1971, in Augusta, a daughter of Charles S. Bugg and JoAnn Theissen Bugg. Shannon was a native of Augusta, Georgia and attended One Way Christian Private School. She worked for Dr. Broome’s office as a receptionist. She also worked for Augusta Orthopedics as a medical assistant.

Shannon was an avid reader, loved watching movies, and listening to music. She was fun-loving, cared for everyone, and loved giving to others. She had a great sense of humor and loved making people laugh. Shannon was a caring mother to her son. She also enjoyed spending time with her son, family, and dog, Loki.

Shannon is predeceased by her brother, Thomas Allen Bugg, and her dog, Flossy.

She is survived by her son, Coty Albert (Lauren Langsam); mother and step-father, JoAnn T. Bugg and Paul Rogers; father and step-mother, Charles S. and Laurie Bugg; sisters, Sissy Clark (Rick), Kim Stratton (Johnny) and Julianne Bugg; brother, Christopher Bugg; nephews, Ryan Stratton (Shelby Landis, Cayden, & Caroline), Rhett Stratton (Bethany, Will, & John Michael), and Russ Stratton; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 15, at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, GA.

A funeral will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 16, at Liberty United Methodist Church, 2040 Liberty Church Road, Hephzibah, GA.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends are invited.
