Sharon "Sherry" Eagler

Sherry was a woman of faith who served the Lord and her family above everything else. She loved her grandchildren so much and she devoted most of her time to caring for them. For more than 30 years, Sherry worked for the Richmond County Department of Education as a Secretary at A. Brian Merry Elementary School. In her spare time, Sherry enjoyed traveling to the mountains where she was always on the lookout for Big Foot and bears.

Her sister Debra Weathersbee, her sister Diane Pederson and her brother William “Bill” Townson preceded Sherry in death. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Donald E. Eagler Jr.; her sons, Adam Eagler (Stephanie) and Brad Eagler (Dana); and her brother Jim Townson (Cindy). Sherry also leaves nine grandchildren, Carter, Addison, Adalyn, Ashleigh, Ben, Ava Grace, McKenzie, Theodore and Savannah to cherish her memory.

A visitation for Sherry will be held Monday, January 10, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Catholic mass will occur Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2607 Lumpkin Rd, Augusta, GA 30906. Committal services will immediately follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Serving, as pallbearers are the Georgia State Patrol.
